GRAEME CUMMINS is set to become Cork City's latest export to England as a number of Championship clubs are poised to bid for the in-form striker.

In the past decade, Cork City have sold 15 players to British clubs with four of them – Kevin Doyle, Shane Long, Alan Bennett and Damien Delaney – going on to win senior caps, while others – such as David Meyler, Roy O'Donovan, Dave Mooney and Colin Healy – have gone on to play at a high level abroad.

This season a batch of Championship clubs – as well as Premier League newcomers QPR – have been keeping tabs on striker Cummins, who attracted more attention last Monday when he scored the winner for Cork as they knocked St Patrick's Athletic out of the EA Sports Cup, his 10th goal of the season.

    CONVERTED

Cummins previously played for Cobh Ramblers and Waterford United, and had initially been a centre-half until then manager Stephen Henderson converted him to a front role. He scored 34 goals in two seasons (2009, 2010) with Waterford and Cork City.

Millwall, Reading and Birmingham City all had scouts in Turner's Cross last Monday to see Cummins against Pat’s and the scouts will be out in force again tonight when City take on Athlone Town.

QPR have also sent a representative to see Cummins but it's thought that a move to the Championship is more likely if a club agrees to pay the minimum fee of €100,000, which Cork have placed on his head.

He must be worth a gamble at that price, and no surprise that Reading were there having a gander

Its worth pointing out that Cummins doesn't even play in the Irish top flight so I must admit to not seeing him play and can't really judge. Like all non-league players, it would be a shot in the dark just like with the lad Hewitt.

We'll leave it up to COLIN!

Swords - who's this fecker then?

On a personal note this would be a great signing we share the same last name! Could i then buy my named shirt of the shelf rather than paying by the letter? (Yes i am this tight)

After Seaman, he would also continue the man juice related player names at QPR, and Cummins sounds like he would slip in to the hole up front very well....

Is there a footballer called Johnny Spunk anywhere? We should get him as well.

Cannock: Your name's obviously given you great inspiration. It's like our Louise, you just can't give her a nickname that doesn't relate to toilet humour!

Heard a good rumour that we may be in for Andy Johnson of Fulham.
At 3mil dont think we can go wrong for this "prem" established player.
