    The £6million Irishman is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane and has been linked with a switch to Loftus Road.

    But a club insider has told the Chronicle the £65k-a-week hitman is not on Neil Warnock's shopping list.

    Reports that Fulham frontman Andy Johnson and Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown are summer targets are also wide of the mark.

    He hasn't performed at anything like his best for a long time........
    And yet I think that if anyone could get his wheels moving again and his confidence up it would be Colin.
    There was always a kind of defect in his execution of difficult manoeuvres which made him
    look silly at times but when they came off they were spectacular.
    Too costly, a few years too late and not right for us now.

    Definately go for Long and/or some other top-performing Championship players mixed with a few experienced Premier players. Trust Warnock, he's no mug...

    be interesting if anyone is going to watch the peterbo/mk dons match tonight whether craig m.smith is mentioned about playing his last home match before joining qpr or norwich who was interested, i think i will just to here any news.

    Long would be a quality signing. Hes better than Doyle who's also been linked.
