"The Derby players have seen more of his balls than the one they're meant to be playing with." On the streaker who appeared during Derby's game against Manchester United.

Clough was also one of the greatest players of his time. I believe that his record of of getting 100 goals in the fastest time for a top flight club still hasn't been beaten.

Helps to disprove that old adage about good footballers being unable to be top managers. That's that other bloke who played for Fulham who was rather good as a manager too...

I would dispute that Clough was one of the best managers. In his own words he was definitely in the top one.

Good coach but he would not get away with some of his antics today....<laugh> As for the best then i would not say so when you compare him with Sir Alex and Bill Shankly....<ok>

he said he would have crawled to SAFC (who he played for and is a legend here banged the goals in for us) to manage us but no thanks to our chairman Bob murray he brought in 'big Lawrie' who led us to the div we are in now, it is humiliating as well.
