    for nothing......................

Thanks (for nothing)! QPR fans post Hughes advert at Stoke petrol station in reverse of Man City and Mancini pleasantries

It's fair to say that Queens Park Rangers fans were not that enamoured with Mark Hughes while he was at the helm of their club.

And they have cheekily reacted to Stoke City's appointment of the Welshman by paying for an advert on a petrol station board close to the Britannia Stadium.

It read: 'A message from QPR fans: Mark Hughes - Thanks (for nothing).'

The message was also a subverted version of Man City fans posting an advert in an Italian newspaper to thank Roberto Mancini for his work at the club.

He sent a message of appreciation to City fans in the Manchester Evening News after he was unceremoniously sacked.

I dispute such a comment. 'Nothing'......... could not be further from the truth.

Indeed, Hughes left this great club of ours with massive debt.
A team of players that would rather take a swing at each other than to swing a golf club.
Induced the current manager position to a poison chalice with little hope of an immediate change in team circumstances, purely because of current wages / contracts, player attitudes, that will take several years for our club to rid itself of.

Truth is, Hughes did much for our club...................... problem is, that it was all bad.

Thanks for nothing? Very odd, he was the messiah in May 2102 and could do no wrong the day QPR kept their PL status, the word "legend" was used to the full. Have to at least thank him for 1 more year in the top flight, which was very much against the odds when he took NW's place?

Then again, how short term the mind of a football fan can be <laugh>

You speak never a truer word. Football fans are very fickle and do suffer from short term memory loss!

    There are many around!
