We got out as soon as we heard that we had well and truly pissed on the QPR party with 10s of the drama queens on the pitch anti-climaxing to the sounds of Warnock's disrespectful tones on tele at the final whistle. However on the way back to the car parked on the side of the A40 (via bookees as I had 1 - 1 @ 11 to 2), we were approached by a number of complimentary QPR fans who couldn't believe that we were nt in the play-offs. "Best team to come here this season was one comment," was a quote directed in our direction, amongst many other complimentary equivalents. I must admit that apart from our own first half errors and the Routledge gift, we deserved as much as QPR from the game, if not more Maybe we were all at a different game to Neil Warnock after his totally disrespectful after-match comments. I couldn't believe what I heard on the radio when I got back to the car. Seems we werent in the game at all and our goal was a fluke from a defensive error anyway! Somethings never change. I ll give Warnock six games in the Prem and he'll be at his level - managing Bratford!!!!!
Somehow you are lying or they are stupid. Watford beat them 4-1 at their place earlier in the season.
travelled with a bunch of them on the Central Line after the match. all moaning that our goal was offside & scrappy. I thought the two goals were similar: ball given away, defence splitting pass and well taken finish. The biggest difference was the experience of the protaganists (Taraabt & Routledge vs Akpan and Amoo).
Warnock is a clown, i never really take much notice of what he says. I'd have being more worried if he'd have come out and complemented us tbh! As for the drama's fans saying we were the best team they've seen this season, shouldn't we just trust their judgement on that one? they saw the Watford game so they're best placed to comment on that one. Take the complements when they come lads!
I had the same comments when leaving the Liberty. They thought we were twice the team Norwich were. If we'd have started the season with this team, I'm convinced we would have walked this league. It's pretty poor, I cannot remember the last time 3 promoted sides in Norwich, Leeds and Milwall all finished in around the play offs. Are they good? Or is just the standard of the championship poor this year?
I don't reckon you were the best team to come here, that was definately Watford. Forest played better than you aswell and along with a few others, but you were OK, they may have been referring to your fans or they hadn't been to too many games.
A fair assessment, i watched that game on the beeb and thought watford looked good on the night, though you chaps did them a massive favour by not really turning up!
Most QPR fans I have spoken to agree we were the best team to go there "on the day" - we were totally on top.
