While you're here mate, check out 'Mr. Robot', begins in a couple of weeks but the pilots already out, I've seen it, looks awesome...
Another one that you might like to look at is 'Wayward Pines', I haven't seen it yet although I will be watching it later, comes highly recommended by a friend who knows his stuff.
Not entirely sure what was going on, but Mr Robot looks promising, thanks for the heads up. A decent end to the day after the ultimately obviously futile early evening hope that an Ipswich player would score a goal (not often I find myself cheering for that). At least an ex-binner managed the feat.
It was never meant to be a wum post fella. You said he was slow but frequently skinned defenders. Made me wonder what sort of standard those defenders were if they were beating so easily by a slow player.
Okay. He's not the quickest speed wise, however with his quick feet he can dribble past 2/3 no problem at times. Quick players don't always have this in their locker due to not having good feet. Take Riquelme - never the quickest but could always beat 1/2 men if necessary.
Got it It's just when you talk about skinning defenders I think along the lines of Huckerby, Fox, Eadie and the likes, who were all quick and tricky.
KON was a good prospect but hugely injury prone and not exactly allergic to lager. Saw him many a time out in the city during his time with us and more so when he was out long term. I think he had some issues with his weight as well - probably not helped by all the empty calories he consumed whilst out. Lovely bloke though.
O'Neill broke his hand on a punch bag whilst recovering from a foot injury that came on the back of a double leg fracture that he acquired in his initial comeback training session. The comeback training session was after a back injury which followed on from a hip injury which followed on from a groin injury. When he finally made his first team reappearance (18 months after the original back injury) he lasted just seven minutes before he was injured, and substituted for one last time as a professional footballer! Should have had a hospital ward named after him. Still, lovely bloke though!
Playing champ man 97/98 again has got me thinking of O'Neil and Eadie, O'Neil was an absolute goal machine on that title.
