QPR draw after Wright-Phillips’ late strike

    Trabzonspor 1 QPR 1

Shaun Wright-Phillips netted a late equaliser in Germany, where recent signing Junior Hoilett made his QPR debut.

Turkish side Trabzonspor took a 58th-minute lead when Volkan Sen latched on to a pass and lifted the ball over keeper Rob Green.

But Wright-Phillips hit back for Rangers with a cracking strike eight minutes from the end.

And they finished the game strongly, with Djibrl Cisse hitting the post and Clint Hill also going close.

In the first half, Hoilett had an early chance to score when he fired wide after being set up by Jamie Mackie, who later had an effort saved after being released by Ji-sung Park.

Kieron Dyer, who came on as a substitute at Wycombe on Tuesday after nearly a year on the sidelines, was also in the starting line-up.

According to Hughes the team is starting to take shape. But we play a different midfield and front line every game?! It's like he still has no idea.

It's pre season - he's giving all the players a run out, and playing different formations and combinations of players, to see which
    players can fit where...

Personally I think the depth in talent of our squad now, bodes well for the new season...

I cant wait for the new season to start...

The amount of times MH played the likes of Harriman, ehmer and doughty I'm getting the sneaky feeling that we won't be signing anymore players and definitely not more defenders!

These 3 have really come on well in the pre-season tour
The new management team must take a lot of credit I think

Not really, they've just been given a chance plus they're old enough now. All credit for them must go to Steve gallen and Marc Bircham for coaching them these past few years...

Another thing that bugs me is the whole "Liverpool wonderkid Raheem Stirling" thing! From what I saw of him at rangers compared to now, he doesn't seem to have improved at all, he even looks to have gone backwards a little since leaving us. If you think of others like parret as well at spurs, it looks like they'd have been better staying with us. I'd be surprised if some of the big clubs aren't looking at gallen, he's looking like a real talent in coaching youth players...
