The QPR defender was tasked with keeping a lid on the England striker when Rangers played Cardiff City in April, only to see the 29-year-old smash home an unstoppable goal in the 2-2 draw. However, the Latvian insists Bothroyd can be a big player at Loftus Road following his move to W12 this summer. "He was one of the best strikers in the Championship last season," said Gorkss. âI've played against him many times and he's one of the toughest I've come up against in England. I'm really glad I won't be facing him any more! "I think he has the potential to play at the highest level. He's a big lad, good in the air and with his feet. You never know what he's going to do." We're fkin nuts if we even comtemplate a swap deal between Gorkss/Puncheon. Our best defender + money for a player who couldn't get in a League 1 team last season? Durrrrr.
