19/01/2012 by David McIntyre QPR were this afternoon considering whether to table another bid for Blackburn defender Chris Samba. Rangers manager Mark Hughes, who signed Samba while Rovers boss, is keen for the centre-back to join him at Loftus Road. But Blackburn have rejected all approaches for Samba and insist he is not for sale, leaving the QPR hierarchy to discuss their next move. Tottenham are also interested but are yet to make a formal offer for the 27-year-old, who has made it clear he wants to leave. âYou make bids and obviously you reach a point where you draw a line when you think itâs not going to progress,â said Hughes. âWeâll have to look at each deal in isolation and make judgements on them as and when we feel we need to walk away from things.â Hughes is currently trying to persuade Chelseaâs transfer-listed defender Alex to swap the top end of the Premier League for the bottom. Further discussions are set to take place with the Brazilian, and Rangers will make a sizeable offer to Chelsea if Alex indicates that he is prepared to make the move. âThere are still conversations going on there,â Hughes confirmed. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-may-end-interest-in-blackburn-defender/? Wise man, thats exactly how we should conduct our business
Forget Samba, damage has been done as far as a playing career with rovers is concerned so job done. Certainly not worth more than 5m imo
I'll be amazed if he's still at Blackburn on 1st Feb. Barclays are calling in their overdraft on the 31st Jan and unless a large amount of dosh comes in players are not gonna be paid. Go figure...
