    Phil Beard
PHIL Beard admits QPR are likely to offload more players before the end of the transfer window.

Rangers have made six signings already this summer, with Rob Green, Ryan Nelsen, Fabio da Silva, Samba Diakite, Park Ji-sung and Andy Johnson joining the Loftus Road revolution.

Chairman Tony Fernandes has revealed the R's are still in the market for two or three more new recruits.

And chief executive Beard says there could be more following keeper Paddy Kenny out of W12, with Matt Connolly, DJ Campbell and Rob Hulse among the likely casualties.

“I think every club has a look at the bigger picture,” he said.

“If you're bringing a significant number of players in then some players won't feature in the manager's plans.

“We've given ourselves enough time to look at that carefully and make the right decisions.”

Simple mathematics dictate that there has to be some culling.

Only 25 allowed in come game day.

    Seems inevitable.

I hope they do it sooner rather than later because it then gives the affected players the chance to sort themselves out before the new season.

Sometimes the player has to want to leave. Unfortunately nowadays some players seem happy enough to train and then kick back in the reserves as opposed to go out on loan or move on.

You're right although, for the benefit of everyone, I'd hope we'd do the same as with the incoming players - try to resolve everything as soon as possible for the benefit of a settled pre-season (which is another thing that gives me confidence for the new season).
