QPR owe Tim Sherwood a beer after he helped Tom Carroll back to full fitness in time for QPR's biggest win of the season against Bournemouth.

Hoops ran out 3-0 winners, with Carroll back in midfield for the first time since he was injured playing for England U21s back in October.

The Spurs loanee admitted his ankle knock came at just the wrong time, but Tottenham coach Sherwood provided the fitness programme for Carroll to last the entire game against the Cherries - even without a reserve outing beforehand.

He said: "It's good to be back - and at Loftus Road where the atmosphere is so good.

"No game is easy in this league - but we played some good stuff in the second half in periods - and winning by three is really promising after winning by the odd goal in recent games.

"At the time I was gutted to get injured because it was just starting to come good for me and the England U21s, but now I'm just glad to be back and looking to get more games under my belt.

"I worked with Tim Sherwood on specific things to help me and it helped me last the 90 minutes, which was good."

Really glad to have Carroll back in the team, we've missed him badly

I think he's a Carrick type player in the sense that the players know what he does for team, and he certainly has the eye for the final ball

Carroll was excellent yresterday, a couple of absolutely sublime long range passes to the players running the channels

Also loads of running and distribution, lots of neat triangles.

    Excellent performance...MOM?
