Austin is set for an exciting summer with an England call-up on the horizon and a move to a Premier League club likely. Rangers look set to lose Austin to either Southampton or Newcastle and goalkeeper Rob Green to Chelsea, while a handful of other senior players, like Richard Dunne, Joey Barton and Bobby Zamora, are out of contract. Newly appointed permanent head coach Chris Ramsey and director of football Les Ferdinand have a huge overhaul ahead of them. But Austin is sure they are up to the task of winning Championship promotion for the second time in three seasons "We need to win as many games as possible but everyone knows that the Championship is the hardest league in the world to get out of," Austin said. "It's a very tough league but, with the support of everyone behind the manager, I think they can attract the players to get them back promoted Read more at http://talksport.com/football/qpr-c...arlie-austin-150520147450#5cQldu1u07IjpeRz.99
"It's a very tough league but, with the support of everyone behind the manager, I think they can attract the players to get them back promoted" So it's without Austin then (no surprise though).
He says "we" when referring to us winning games and "they" when referring to management attracting players. Everyone's after a pantomime villain these days.
Must admit when I first read the piece about "they" I interpreted it the same way as Kerry and Norway, it was only after re-reading it that it looks as if Charlie is referring to Ramsey & Ferdinand as "they"........that's my interpretation anyway
No agenda mate, don't be so sensitive. KooPee makes a good point. It was just the "they" stood out. I don't have much hope of Austin staying, and I don't blame him. Short career and you have to make the most of it.
The fact that Charlie needs to say this only means one thing and that he is off. He is being linked with Villa/Newcastle/Saints/Liverpool and even Scum now from (vital football). Charlie has been a good servant but it also shows how much loyalty players have. Look at that greedy little Tw@t Stirling? He should be grateful he is playing for a club like Liverpool and should stop chasing the money. The bloke is muppet. I hope Liverpool get rid and he ends up on a bench somewhere forgotten. (he probably wouldn't mind). When Charlie leaves we should all thank him because without his goals we would not have come up and probably back down by Christmas (although he was a muppet for missing those 2 pens). Seriously we need to regroup and get in players that want to be here. the whole ethos of the club needs to change. I will miss Charlie but i'm not sure he will replicate those goals at another club so easily.
You can have this scumbag back http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/L...y-throttling/story-26541652-detail/story.html
Yes just seen that on sky sport fox, I liked Danny when he was here but after that you can keep him, no place for people like that, sorry there is prison!
As I said to my son (who will be gutted), there were QPR strikers before Austin and there will be QPR strikers after him. He served us well and now it's time to cash in.
I'm sure we could attract 'top stars' if we've learned nothing at all. I'd prefer some decent players prepared to give their all and not bitch about each other.
