Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle Neil Warnock NEIL Warnock has ruled out a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko. The Spurs star has been strongly linked with a move to QPR in the January transfer window. But Warnock, who is keen to add more firepower to his squad, insists the Russian hitman won't be coming to Loftus Road in the new year. âRomanâs a great player,â he said. âbut we have lots of options. At the minute, there are a loads of targets on our list, including strikers from abroad.â Read More http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...r-spurs-striker-82029-29797137/#ixzz1e0mgBR5o
Isn't it strange that he mentions pavelechenko, who was only mentioned once a few weeks ago, but doesn't say anything about Defoe who's been mentioned constantly for the past couple of weeks. Or am I just reading to much in to this in hope?
I like the fact we're looking abroad as well, I think there may be a surprise big name that will catch all the ITK's out!
good i'm glad we ruled out him as spurs was trying to push him onto us, can't wait untill transfer window & ok these rumours will come thick & fast now but it makes it exciting though.
Maybe I've missed something, but he doesn't actually say he's not interested in signing him, just that he's one of a number of targets, or am I reading this wrong? I think the real reason he's muddying the waters is that he wouldn't look forward to having to pronounce his name, after all it's twice as long as Taarabt and he struggles with that one!
Spot on twins. That quote is about the weakest basis for a story I've ever read, and certainly doesn't qualify as ruling him out. Given the choice though I'd take Defoe above Pavlyuchenko any day.
