QPR boss remains convinced his job is safe 09/10/2012 by David McIntyre Mark Hughes has again shrugged off speculation about his future as QPR manager. Harry Redknapp has been touted as a possible replacement for the Welshman, whose team are bottom of the table and yet to win a league game this season despite more big spending during the summer. Fernandes has backed Hughes. But Hughes says he still has the full support of Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes and vice-chairman Amit Bhatia. âI speak to both Tony and Amit all the time and theyâre very supportive of what weâre doing,â Hughes insisted. âThey see the changes weâve made to the club, not only in terms of personnel but also mentality. âThey understand whatâs required in terms of building a club and they see the massive changes weâve made to the club in a short space of time.â
Sound bites and yet more sound bites! Tony & Amit, do yourselves and us a favour and get onto the dog to Rafa. Massive my rrrrrrs.
The changes behind the scenes have been massive - not just the playing personel. A lot of what went on before was 1st Division stuff. Hughes now has to convert that into points or we will be a Championship team with a Premiership setup.
