Harry reckons there are plenty who need a rest after tough holiday programme

QPR could change up to five players for the FA Cup trip to Everton.

Manager Harry Redknapp will allow defenders Richard Dunne and Danny Simpson to sit out for starters while admitting the flurry of Christmas games have taken their toll.

He said: "There are some who have had lots of games and I will rest them or they'll break down if I keep them going."

Junior Hoilett is definitely out with a hamstring strain picked up after just 12 minutes against Doncaster on Wednesday, although Redknapp is set to recall Clint Hill to the centre of defence and almost certainly ask Karl Henry to step in at right-back.

The manager added: "I don't know where people get the idea we're a big squad: they must be looking at the wrong club.

"Essentially, we've got one striker and one right-back in Danny Simpson who has played every minute of every game so far."

Redknapp made no bones about Championship points taking priority over the world's oldest domestic competition, and believes the lineups at a number of Premier League sides will reflect the same idea.

He added: "Staying in the Premier League is everything."

 

Karl henry v Leighton Baines and Pienaar. I can't wait.

 

One RB in Danny? he's got Ned, he's got Luke, and he's got Harriman if he's not loaned him somewhere.

 

It will be interesting to see who plays for Everton. Can't see them fielding their first eleven.

 

What the hell happened to Suk Young Dik? We've also got Luke Young there. Harriman is out on loan but I don't remember if it was a full season loan.

 

Dik went to Donny ( I think) and got injured 1st game out all season.

 

Dik played on boxing day against Ipswich and in any case he's a left back

Where has the American lad gone? Is his loan over?

 

Yeah, but Harry's is right about the size of the squad. All sorts of people tell me about our huge squad but when I look at the programme at home matches, all the opposition teams seem to have a longer list than ours, including Donny most recently, especially as one of ours is Ray Jones' old number.

 

Apparently Cesar will be playing, interesting to see what happens if he plays a blinder...

 

We might not come away with a win, but come away with jelevic!

 

That will be intersting. Think it's a few months since he last played a game, he must be pretty rusty.

 

He's played for Brazil in November...

 

Hope that little side event has got him ready for the big one tomorrow then!

That will really keep Murphy happy, sits on the bench all season and can't even get a game in the Cup, I know he played in the League/Carling/Milk/Whatever cup earlier in season but i would have thought a run out on Saturday would keep him in some sort of form. We owe Cesar nothing, we all know he's leaving, one game is not going to make any difference to whoever wants to buy him....

 

If Cesar lets in five or six it won't do his prospects much good...

 

Unfortunately, Murphy is said to be crap. If Cesar makes a couple of saves perhaps someone will take him off our hands.

 

What a dilemma........what do we want him to do?
