With little to play for, fans are concerned Hoops will go through the motions and then rebuild in the summer. And there was little to warm the travelling faithful in the 1-1 draw with Bolton – apart from a late equaliser by Matt Phillips that salvaged a point. But the Rangers gaffer insists players will not be allowed to coast through to May. “We are professionals and every game we have to turn up,” he said. “We have fans turning up. We have an obligation to fans and our bosses. At the end of the day you are still getting a pay check.” Those who paid to see this drab affair got little value for money, but Hasselbaink was satisfied his side dug out a point when all seemed lost. “We knew they were going to be direct and we knew we had to defend. “In the first half we didn’t create and neither did they. “And then they score a worldy. We’re not going to concede goals like that every week. “With James Perch that was a very good chance and it would have opened the game up, but we didn’t lay down, kept on going and that was important. “It was not a great match and we would have liked to be a bit more creative and fluent. We couldn’t really get in our flow, so we needed to dig in and get a result," he told www.qpr.co.uk
