skysports_bryan Bryan Swanson Jim White's just confirmed that Tony Fernandes will take over 66% of #qpr. Jim's told club have bid £4m for Scott Parker. @SkySportsNews
you have to be in a dream world if he thinks he will sign him for 4 million he is worth twice that at least and westham have already turndown 10 million before so i don't they will sell for 4
When and from whom did they turn down £10m? According to Allardyce they hadn't received ANY bids up until last week. He must be on a fair packet, I'm sure Gold and Sullivan would be happy to get him off the wage bill and I'm sure he wants Premiership football (at least for a year!!!)
Would love to see Parker in hoops, but he'll probably cost more than £4m, have wages way out of our league and I doubt he'd fancy the move anyway, when bigger clubs are out there. Can't doubt Fernandes and his goals if this is his first move though. Might just be a fan-pleasing bid though with no chance of going anywhere, I fear.
If Parker moves the price will be around £5 mill, no way will West Ham fetch £8 mill for him. If (i don't believe it) we have bid £4 mill i think that's a good and smart opening bid.
they still won't sell for 4 million he is worth about 8-10 westham did put a value on him at 10mill when the transfer window opened
As I was reading earlier, Parker is 30 so probably 2 more decent seasons in him, his wages are a drain on WHU finances, added with the fact that I don't think they have received any offers I think Gold will do business and Parker will want to join the revolution.............
West Ham have put an £8m price on his head so I don't know why they turned down £10m from a magic invisible team. £4m now... £4m if we stay up payable at the end of the season. That'll do me
I agree andy2402, he's worth more than £8 - £10m, but as has been mentioned, he's 30, on a lot of money and will probably want to ensure he stays in the England squad with the Euro's only 10 months away. Maybe we are dreaming, but what a great signing if it comes off......
Won't happen but who cares, Bernie and Flav are practically gone. Smells like more of a 'fan pleaser' bid than a realistic target.
QPR could do with a player like Parker. Class act, problem is West Ham have too many high earners at that club
Andy, You think Norwich will put a bid in for Parker for 10M then? Delia better go knock some fairy cakes up eh!
I think the thing that is so hard for us all to accept is that our club might have bid for such a class player, valued far higher than any player we've ever bid for. We are so used to the owners wallets being shut tighter than an asshole in a prison shower, but what if Mittal is behind all this or at least he's willing to back the club with Fernandez at the helm?? It would take some getting used to and I guess we only have to wait a dozen more hours to find out if our dreams really are about to become true. But it would seem that at the very least the nightmare we've had to endure for the last few years is about to end. I think I might actually need someone to pinch me tomorrow just to make sure I'm not still dreaming/screaming.
QPR have offer for Scott Parker rejected by West Ham as club is poised to unveil Tony Fernandes as majority shareholder QPR have had a £4 million bid for Scott Parker rejected by West Ham that same day the club are due to unveil Tony Fernandes as their controlling shareholder. But West Ham are understood to have turned down the initial offer and will hold out for their valuation of £7m. The Malaysian entrepreneur, who is also team principal of Formula One outfit Team Lotus, is also set to bid £3 million for Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha. QPR have confirmed there will be a press conference at 2pm to officially confirm that Fernandes is buying a 51 per cent stake from F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone. Ecclestone has been the majority owner of QPR for the past five years. Questions over the ownership of the west London club, and the future of manager Neil Warnock, have overshadowed their build-up to the new season, their first in the top flight since 1996.
