QPR FACING STIFF COMPETITION TO LAND BELGIAN STAR QPR are reportedly interested in 23-year-old Lierse midfielder Joeri Dequevy, according to The Times. Dequevy is a Belgian Under-21 international who previously played for KSV Roeselare and has attracted interest from Belgian giants Anderlecht and Standard Liege. QPR have also been linked with Dequevyâs teammate Daylon Claasen. Rangers lost star midfielder Alejandro Faurlin to injury earlier in the month and manager Mark Hughes may be looking to replace him for the remainder of the season with one of the Lierse midfielders. Dequevy has played 20 times for Lierse without scoring whilst South African international Claasen has scored six times in 43 appearances. Although Faurlin has been ruled out for the entire season, Hungarian international Akos Buzsakyâs superb performance against Wigan in Rangersâ 3-1 victory on Saturday, including a stunning 30-yard free-kick, may cause Hughes to give him an extended run in the side. Buzsaky starred for Rangers in the Championship following his transfer from Plymouth in 2007 but a succession of injuries left him well down the pecking order under Warnock. With Moroccan play-maker Adel Taarabt also due to return from the African Cup of Nations sometime in the next few weeks, Hughes may have other priorities than the signing of a new midfield partner for Joey Barton although Rangers have also been linked with a loan move for Nancyâs Mali international Samba Diakite. http://www.footballtransfertavern.com/2012/01/premiership/qpr-facing-stiff-competition-to-landed-belgian-star?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TransferTavern+%28The+Transfer+Tavern+Home+Page%29 Never heard of him. Do we have an Belgium R on here who might enlighten us?
2 unknown Belgians from the same rubbish club? Sounds like the work of the agents or club trying to drum up interest for their players.
Maybe flyer but everyone has to start somewhere and play for someone! Take faurlin for example, sometimes a gem can be unearthed!

ffs Nines mate. I know you're really keen and all that - or bored at work - but please... check before you leap. We've already got a thread on this no-mark. We're not interested in making a career out of this modding lark! MERGE THREADS.
Sorry Brix, I did have a look but didn't see it. I thought Norway was having the night off. Anyway, what you moaning for? This must be a quiet modding week for you and Goldie.....
No problem mate, think it's more a case for the mods Night off? With all this transfer frenzy, you kidding me, this is like Christmas for us R's But I think I'll have a lay down come february
Good work Norway, I should of known better really! It must of been on page 2, but was too lazy to look. You've been a real gem since Northy's departure, well done mate. Thanks, Nines
Sure they can but only 1 source and and a not very good one at that leads me to think its not credible, Faurlin was playing the other side of the world, these guys are not. If they were really that good, other teams would be interested and remember we beat off interest from Inter for Faurlin.
