I prefer a jollier anniversary such as 'On this day 32 years ago, we beat West Brom in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Highbury.'

I was at Wembley that day.
I remember a young Clint Hill on the bench
How many of you still have the single that was made for the occasion?

What we wouldn't give now for a net loss of only £575,000 a month ;)

A mate of mine was one of the administrators and has the claim to fame of selling Peter Crouch.

Me neither, the mate who I went with popped around today and I said to him that it was 32 years ago on this day that we played that semi-final. We were only sixteen then. We stood behind the goal about a quarter of the way up the north bank. What a day, incredible.

Probably weren't too far away from each other mate. When we scored, I jumped up and accidentally kneed by Brother's then girlfriend in the back. He didn't care mind, as he was going berserk too!
    I was 20. **** I'm getting old!!

I was going berserk in Halifax, NS on that day - no television of that game iin Canada, long before the internet and I couldn't find a audible broadcast on the short wave (remember those?). There were no Sunday newpapers around there either. Fianlly got the result on Monday morning - I drove down to a smoke shop, grabbed the paper and before leaving I had to look and then let out whoop. Had a pretty good day at work, if I recall, too

My girlfriend's father had a mate where he worked who was a season ticket subsciber and he got me programme - still one of my prized possesions
