    Nooooooooooonooooooooooooooooonoooooooooooooooonoooooooooooooooo.

I really dont see the point in getting an injury prone twat who can only score against us. How many goals has he got in the last 2 years not against us?

This would be a terrible, terrible signing along the lines of Barton and SWP.

But hes not, hes on massive wages, he will probably take £6-8m off us and we wont be able to dump him. Id rather go for a younger player on lower wages with some resale value.

Its a rumour, like everything else. It's not your money, why get so wound up about it? Why assume that a 31 year old Fulham sub will be on massive wages and a long contract? Agree with you that he wouldn't be anywhere on my wish list though.

Hes been linked with us time and time again. The possibility of us wasting £6-8m on an awful player doesnt worry you?

Oh, how I yearn for the day the Rs unveil an exciting home-grown goalscoring talent again. I want the next Clive Allen, like yesterday.

So true. There's been an absolute drought on any home-growns over the past couple of decades. Was a time when most of the team was made up of home-growns. The 67 League Cup winners comprised seven HGs of the twelve that went to Wembley (Peter Springett, Tony Hazell, Mike Keen, Ron Hunt, Frank Sibley and the Morgan Twins) - and that was as a third tier club.

As regards the strikers you speak of, we produced a fair few including the likes of Mick Leach, Alan Wilkes, Clive Allen, Paul Goddard and Les Ferdinand (okay, so we got him from Hayes as a kid...).

Sign of the (bad) times eh?!

Might be worth a punt on a free as squad player - scored 11 goals last season (2nd for Fulham), a hat-trick against us.

Hes scored 6 goals in the PL in 3 years and 3 of those were against us and 13 goals in 86 apps for Fulham in the PL.

It took him 3 years to score the same amount of goals that it took Cisse to do in 8 games.

    Awful, awful player.

Totally agree, terrible player. God forbid he comes our way. Finished (if he ever was) a few years ago.

    Oh christ please no.

A truly awful player with no Pl track record whatsoever.

Now that would be awful ambition if we went for him. Absolute joke if we did.
