Interesting to see that they rate mid-table championship side Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton as having better player quality than us..

I haven't read the full explanation as I feel dirty reading the Daily Mail website - what was the basis for player quality?

Aggregate of historic number of internationals at the club and internationals at the 2014 World Cup. Like crowds are aggregate of average gate last season and highest ever gate.

We are only so high because of social media.

Foolham, Hull, Southampton and Swansea have a bigger global fan base than us? I doubt that.

Thanks sb...saved me a visit to the un-holy pages of the daily mail...I'd hate to think that the IT department at work might suspect me of clicking on it voluntarily!

It's a very objective measure - how many people follow each club's Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Just as well they do income rather than profitability.

We're closer to Bury than Sunderland.

Exactly - we've suddenly got a huge influx of Mexicans on our facebook page since signing Layun. It's quite entertaining really!

Given most of your thoughts I take that as a massive positive.
