QPRâs Faurlin plans next stage of comeback 23/08/2012 by David McIntyre QPR midfielder Alejandro Faurlin hopes to continue his comeback by playing at least an hour of an Under-21 match against Millwall on Friday. Faurlin played 45 minutes of a game against Charlton this week and is set for another run-out for Marc Birchamâs side, which can include three outfield players over the age of 21. If all goes well the Argentine could even make a first-team return in next weekâs League Cup game against Walsall. Faurlin told West London Sport: âWeâre progressing. Friday is another game and Iâd love to play 60 or 70 minutes this time. âThen next week is the cup game, so weâll need to see how well I react. If the knee is not stiff then there is no problem. âI understand though that I have to be patient, not get frustrated and just keep working hard. I will hopefully play on Friday and then weâll see. âIâm in the final weeks [of a comeback] now and I need to keep focused. I know Iâm nearly there.â
Cheers Kiwi - something that everyone can be happy about. I do hope that he doesn't play in the league cup (unless he comes on as sub for 20 mins). There's a difference in competitiveness and I think the temptation would be to overplay him if he started.
