QPRâs Bothroyd could be fined by Owls boss â report 25/09/2012 by Matt Barrett Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones could hit Jay Bothroyd with a hefty fine for branding Owls supporters âthickâ on Twitter, The Sun say. The striker, on loan from QPR, was criticised by fans after Saturdayâs 2-1 defeat by Bolton. Meanwhile, Fulham boss Martin Jol is set to revive his apparent interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia when the January transfer window opens, according to the Daily Mirror. It is claimed Jol was one of several Premier League managers to go for the 26-year-old in the summer, when Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle were also said to be keen. Fulham were apparently scared off by Atleticoâs £7m asking price and were unable to agree a loan deal instead. It is also claimed that Jol is considering an emergency move for unattached midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker and has been offered Owen Hargreaves and former Aston Villa man Thomas Hizlsperger.
I went to the Weds v Huddersfield game last week. Bothroyd was a standout player solely for how badly he played and how lazy he was. His only contribution other than the cross for the sole Weds goal in a 3 - 1 defeat was to berate the other Weds players. Since he joined on loan their 18 match unbeaten run has turned into a 4 match losing streak....
Owen Hargreaves was training with us in the summer, and here he is mentioned re Fulham; what was that all about?
It was clearly stated at the time that Hargreaves and QPR had agreed to allow him to train with the club, nothing more.
premier league ability?...Hmmmm,hasnt done it to date and probably never will. For such a big unit, hes a little flower...
