One snippet that caught the eye...and not that surprising....

The Garcia report remains unpublished although Blatter, having originally insisted its contents must stay secret, was in December forced to agree to the report being released in an “appropriate form” once investigations against individuals have run their course.

I really, really hope this all comes crashing down around Blatter and the rest of FIFA. If guilty, throw the feckers in jail for an awfully long time.

Surely it would be better if it was found to be above board and legal.

You can really only hope it comes crashing down if you know he's done something wrong.

I find it amazing in this country that FIFA get all the grief and yet our own incompetent FA get away with wasting millions and millions of pounds with no end result.

Well no, I don't know, but there are so many allegations over the years that it appears to be more than mere coincidence.

My personal viewpoint about the Qatar WC Finals is that for a long time Sepp Blatter has made it well-known that he wants the Finals to be hosted in all regions of the world. Having introduced it to the hot-beds of football, the USA, South Korea, then South Africa, this meant that there was one region that had been 'ignored' to date (as Australia is classed as part of Asia & Oceania), the Middle East. So, to fulfill his agenda, he I am sure he was very determined to see that region host the Finals at the earliest opportunity, and would be more than happy to 'engineer' the outcome to one degree or another. I am not saying for one minute that he is solely to blame, should anything be proven, as there are plenty of others implied as part of this particular WC Finals.

(Place a bet on Australia hosting the 2030 or 2034 Finals by the way :emoticon-0127-lipss )

I think FIFA get more abuse because the media focus on Blatter much more, but you are right, the FA have been/are possibly every bit as bad.

I fecking hate FIFA and everything they stand for and they certainly have an agenda against us IMO. Of all the major European football nations we are the only one to have hosted the World Cup just the once and that was 50 years ago ! Considering that we invented the game and England is considered throughout the world as the home of football, it is quite frankly disgraceful. As a result I no longer give a flying fig about international football and that's a shame because as a kid growing up in the seventies I loved it. We should pull out of FIFA altogether and concentrate soley on our domestic game. **** 'em !

Imagine if all the major European nations sent U21 sides, or even better U18 sides to the WC, that would piss Blatter off big time <laugh>

I don't see what's wrong with giving preferential treatment to nations who have never had it. I see it as a good thing.

Unlike KIO the thing about the World Cup is it's global nature. Why should we host it, we hardly contribute when we are in it anyway. We have no divine right to decide the outcome of football, we are bean counters interested in money only.

I suppose if somebody had told me that there was one person who didn't think Blatter and his croonies were a load of corrupt ******* and that it was reasonable for somebody to bid for an event to be held in July and then, to the inconvenience of the major footballing nations, move it to December I could have guessed who it would be.

That's not what I said. But why should different countries be banned from hosting the World Cup because the rich Europeans say so?

If they are the only ones capable in the area, same with South Africa.

Football is a World game, we belong to it, not the other way round.

No problem as long as the bidding process is free of corruption - which it wasn't - and the games could be held at the normal time - which they can't.

Then you are banning countries from holding because of inconvenience.

Corruption is different to an agenda of spreading football around the World.

You should pass your evidence to the authorities and we can nail the bastards.

I think we all knew from the original announcement that the whole thing was corrupt. Is this now a bit late for an investigation? Just cancel the whole bloody thing for all I care and as anyone who has read my earlier posts will know, I think that the same goes for the Russia World Cup too.

The fact that the Garcia report has not / can not be published sheds so much doubt on the whole entities honesty that it is unbelievable that nothing can be done about the situation. The whole of football could possibly be at the personal whim of a very corruptindividual.

If you really believe that "spreading football around the world" is anything to do with the agenda going on here then you are clearly more of a mug than I had previously given you credit for <doh>

You'll be trying to tell us Harold Shipman was doing his victims a favour next
