Picked this up off a Fan site earlier. What do we all think about this?

Not a lot - it was started on twitter 3/4 days ago by a guy from Malawi.

Apparently because there was a lot of activity (ie people) around Motspur Park. Could be they were organising our pre-season trip to China or even loads of stuff.

    In two minds about this

Big name transfers for big fees does get the ticker running. When Ruiz signed I was very excited, young South American, top scorer in Dutch League, it was the same with AJ and to an extent Marlet none of which really justified their price tag. However I wouldn't want us to become like City, throwing money at players and buying league titles. I'd prefer a little more investment in both stadium and academy and add £15m to transfer kitty.

    Lovely.

If it meant us winning the league and getting into the Champions League I would welcome them with open arms and ask where they wanted to park the Rolls-Royce on match days.

My feelings pretty much exactly Bandit. Excited at the sort of players money attracts, but think we've managed to remain the right sort of club, even with the huge investment Mo has made, and would want us to stay that way as much as possible.

As also stated in another reply, there may be no truth in this anyway.

It's the Qatari's who are currently bankrolling PSG and they have been linked with English clubs in the past (including Man Utd last year).

It's no secret that the Qatari's want one team in each of the main European leagues before the World Cup. As you say F1977 they've got PSG and in fact also have Malaga. They get linked with Fulham in this country because of the Harrods deal with MAF. In reality their sights are more probably on Newcastle and Everton.

The objective of their buying strategy is publicity. No need to remind everyone how low Fulham's profile is with the media. Not to mention that the owners of those other two clubs are keen to sell.
