So with him changing his mind, am I literally the only person in the world who thinks its a good idea?

He's quoted as saying "Yes it was a mistake, but we all make mistakes."

...yet FIFA have come out and said "At no point did he question the hosting of World Cup 2022 in Qatar." <laugh>

He's making these comments now, as he's standing for another term and he thinks Platini is a threat, so he's trying to blame him for Qatar(Platini's son works for the Qataris).

"The technical report from Qatar indicated that it is too hot in summer but the executive committee, with a pretty substantial majority still decided that we will play in Qatar."

These people are entrusted to run football, it's a total joke.

I've said this before, but it's an absolute shambles that they gave it to Qatar before considering whether it was too hot and how to get around it. That should have been part of the tender and if they weren't able to guarantee playable conditions within the scope of the tournament (e.g. summer) then they shouldn't have got it. It's laughable that they seem to have just picked Qatar and then a few months later gone "Actually is it hot there?"

Wrong, read my quote. They did know it was too hot, they ignored it and still awarded it to Qatar, knowing full well it would be virtually impossible to host it traditionally in the summer.

Yeah I know. Obviously they knew it was hot but they didn't come to any conclusion about how it'd be dealt with. Months after the event they were talking about the possibility of air-conditioned stadia etc.

How the **** was that not part of the tender? It should have been sorted out before they were given it, and if they couldn't host the tournament safely in the timescale laid out to them then they shouldn't have got it.

I think they need to send Blatter to test the heat in Qatar by tying him to a post and seeing how long before his skin peels off his body and his insides boil....About 30 mins or less.

Well Russia is actually a reasonable place to host a football tournament, Qatar is blatantly ridiculous

I don't expect Platini to stand as Blatter will all-but win anyways as he has so many nations already on side. Platini is expected to put somebody else up though so he doesn't win without a contest.
