Did anybody go? It was at Springhead golf club and apparently he's let slip about some players going. It came up on twitter but I thought there might be somebody on here who would've gone and could verify it for those currently reaching for the cyanide pills.
Twitter suggests Deano indicated a €12m buy out clause in Abels contract and Maguire will be gone. £50m for new manager to spend who will join on Monday. Hopefully bullshit.
Well I'm not holding my breath, he was supposed to be here on Tuesday. Then today. Now it's Monday. How stupid do they think we are?
Or that Monday. Ehab is jumping around saying Daddy, Daddy get me a kit with my name on I'm playing manager for the first game up.
It surprises me that Windass managed to climb out of their ambassadorial pocket for this event; but he didn't, did he? And you believe him?
Deano tweeted after the event, saying he was just repeating what he'd read in the papers and he's got no actual information on what's going on.
He seemed a bit miffed on Twitter that people were having a go at him for not saying anything but he says he knows nothing anyway. Says he loves the club. What he is not saying though is what he really thinks and that is what gets to people I think. He just wants to continue being involved and taking the money. Why volunteer for a Q and A session when you have no answers. He must have known the kind of questions that would be asked.
Decent footballer in his time, but keep thinking of a picnic where someone's going hungry. Don't forget he jumped wholeheartedly on the hull tigers bandwagon . Can't help feeling he's just a puppet who works under instruction of dictators
Its still odd that the club is not talking to groups with known names and structure, FWG, the Trust and the OSC and yet send their ambassador off on an open Q and A session and their communication and marketing man off to meet some unknowns off facebook.
I'm not sure this is about lying to us. I think this is just the usual City incompetence. Every thing takes them a lot longer to complete than they think it will.
The club didn't send him, did they? I thought it was a fund-raiser that he'd just agreed to do personally?
How can Deano win? If he says what you want him to say he gets kicked out of the club (that he loves) and if his views differ from yours you will slate him. Give him a break. It was for charity. He is not the Tigers spokesman. Deano remains a hero for what he did for us the fans. Lets not destroy that.
Maybe send was the wrong word, but if he is speaking about the club and it going on's surely the club would want to know about it / control it. Or is the club giving them both, Deano and Mooney a piece of rope?
He'd have been wise simply not attending. Given what is going on at the club, he should have known exactly what he was walking in to.
