Found this..... Now that a link between Trash Horfield and the Green Party has been established (one that has always been denied previously) we recently e-mailed the Green Party headquarters with some questions. Unfortunately the Green Party have opted not to respond to the questions put forward to them. However on Weds November 20th Green party member and councillor for the Ashley Ward Rob Telford who openly opposes the Sainsburys development has kindly agreed to answer some of the questions the people of Bristol want to see answered. Rob has stated that it could take a while to respond to these questions however we will paste these up in the blog as they are received. Q1: Rob, Trash have stated that they have over 6000 signatures opposing the Sainsburys development, could you provide a link for these signatures please? Answer: Is there one? Oh I see you're being clever. Q2: Why have Trash denied any link with the Green Party when the Green Party has a page promoting the opposition of the store and openly supporting Trash? Answer: Rob denied being any part of Trash but agrees with what they are doing. Q3: Why is the Trash Website strapline: to wreck or vandalise? Answer: None available at present Q4: Why do you favour small outlets with very little if any in the way of eco friendly credentials over largely self sustainable and eco friendly supermarkets? Answer: None available at present Q5: How does the aims of the JR match the aims of the Green Party's planning policy, and is there a way they can they be reconciled with Rovers and/or Sainsburys, but without costing local businesses, the local council and (therefore) the local taxpayers hundreds of thousands of pounds none of them can afford.... Answer: None available at present Q6: Can you suggest a sustainable and financially suitable alternative for the Memorial Stadium to enable BRFC to move into the modern era ? Answer: None available at present Q7: The comments made by Trash of 'We are proud of the variety of shops, the cafes, and the buzz even in the evening. So is there an appropriate balance between the different kinds of shops and between shops and cafes, please advise what this is? Answer: None available at present Q8: If Bristol Rovers were bought out by a multi-millionaire and left the Memorial Stadium derelict, would that be better, worse or the same as i) Empty shops on the Gloucester Road that close as neither the football club or the supermarket use the site, or ii) the supermarket moving in...? Answer: None available at present Q9: Sainsburys have been building environmentally friendly stores for almost 5 years now and have an impressive record leading the way in creating innovative solutions to green issues such as 'bee hotels', could you tell us what the gloucester road traders have been doing to reduce their carbon footprint in the community please and the traders green credentials? Answer: None available at present Q10: On inspection of the Gloucester Road Traders website there appears to be no mention of Trash, why is this? Answer: None available at present http://trashwatch.weebly.com/blog.html The pic in the link is who i imagine bluebaldee to look like
For starters I'm nowhere near as young as the winsome Mr Telford. And, of course, I am far more handsome than him. And not a supermarket-opposing tosser.
