We bought Johnson for too much to begin with, unfortunately just couldn't see anyone paying too much for him.
We bought Jones for roughly 2.4m + he's been loaned out, so his price won't have changed.
Konchesky we bought for 4m and his value has dropped, but I'm sure someone somewhere would pay 3m for him? No? Okay.. closer to 2m then
Aurelio is still class on his day.
Gerrard would have to be worth 32m, because I don't think we'd sell him for anything less, and the only clubs who would want him are those with masses of money e.g. City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Reina is one of the most sort after goalkeepers in the world.
Kelly is priced at 13m based on the fact he's English, he's got obvious talent and he's made a very good impression so far.

Those are my justifications, if you agree or not that's fine.

Ahh right I understand, my valuations were taking lots into consideration but not selling prices and insane inflation (Although some had to be taken into consideration).

I see where you've come from to be honest and I reckon the likes of Carragher, Carroll, Gerrard, Suarez and Kelly are now players who are held in such high regard that I don't think they would consider selling. Although I'd love Kuyt and Lucas added to that list.

You have to take into account that the reason that Glen Johnson's fee was £18.5 million was because Portsmouth already owed Liverpool £7 million from the Crouch sale.Liverpool really only paid £11.5 million for Glen Johnson.Both fees will be written in the accounts as £11 million and £18.5 million respectively.However when two clubs do business,they can do it that way.
A similar thing happened(and this is just my opinion so don't shoot me) with Liverpool and Real Madrid regarding Michael Owen and Fernando Morientes.Everybody knows that the Owen deal was £10 million(£8.5 million and Antonio Nunez(£1.5 million).However Real Madrid only paid £4.5 million in cash.There was still £4 million outstanding.So I reckon Liverpool only paid Real Madrid £2.5 million in cash for Fernando Morientes.The two deals will in the accounts be £10 million and £6.5 million,However thats just accounts.

My list was pretty bad but one thing I think I was correct on is that we won't get much if anything for Konchesky, some people saying as much as 3mill. IMO he will stay in the Championship and be sold for 500.000 max.
