    just a quick question.

are you happy for this 2 get pushed through on the grounds of *****philia, terrorism, and the threat of cyber criminals.......all of which have been given a great platform 2 perform on by this and previous governments mind <ok>......please give some opinions if you don't mind, I`d be interested 2 see how people go with this idea as a good un or them that feel that liberties will be broken forever if we don't fight it.

them that want 2 just talk football need not stress about this thread they just need 2 ignore, lets be honest it(this thread) wont get much time on here with its five members especially if no one can be bothered 2 give a few mins of theyre time.

    <thanks for looking>

It's worst than Orwell's 1984, we are the most watch country in the world with it seems like cameras on every corner.

This is not meant to snoop on the rich and famous they will be left to do their evil deeds in peace.

There will be more Jimmy Seville's and more Rolf Harris' because the high and mighty are up to their neck in it.

In my grandfather's day there would have been a revolution, today the UK is full of those who don't care or can't be bothered.

    Good post Aber dude. <ok>

Thing is Aber there is quite often a scene from various media sectors when the potential other uses of anti terror/*****/cyber type laws are considered.

It's all a question of interpretation and with it how the law is used. Scare stories about how various rules will be used to prevent your current way of life have been around for as long as I can remember. I've never had first hand experience of this affecting anyone I know. None of us were ever going to be able to have a party with more than 2 friends because of the laws introduced to stop the huge illegal gatherings of the 80's early 90's. As an aside can you imagine the mess if laws weren't in place that social media would be able to create.

I don't buy into the whole the govt is an evil organisation that wants to take all our rights and freedoms though and consider it an impossible job that will always be greeted with nothing but derision by a certain section of society, most of whom probably don't vote, then can't wait to slag off the democratic system.

Where do you get your info that makes you realise though Aber?

I get your point of view too because I've had it explained many times by my stoner friends (I used to smoke, I'm a million miles away from anti weed)

by reading and putting in time 2 research dude tbh apart from stoners and free thinkers I don't know many who could say they have put time into finding clear evidence on certain subjects>>>>>tbh when you start looking its all there and I mean everywhere, but I guess until you do look you can be blind 2 the other side of the coin...yes many have done it already for me and you know what I trust them more than I trust the words of thy government.

look most so called anti conspiracy people I know will try and knock me but when the facts normally come out they havnt looked into it at all they just went with the text book option they heard in the media>>>>well I take in both sides first and for some reason the lies seem 2 come from official so called sources...........but that's my opinion and im entitled 2it at present>>>when will I be classed as a terrorist for the words I speak in the future....sooner than I think im guessing <ok>

look why are whistle blowers classed as the baddies when all they are doing is pointing out wrongs against our fellow human beings.....that should tell you a lot about the people the run things more than the men/women who put theyre careers and futures on the line for basic moral beliefs <ok>

where do I find the time I hear you ask>>>>>>well...if your an ex stoner as you say then im sure you can confirm that we do tend 2 b a) single and able 2 watch what you want or b)on a totally different wave length 2 your straight wife who happens 2 spend her time on facebook or watching any old crap on tv something other than educational if I can say that <laugh>......so that's where I get my time, im free 2 use the pc and study, I also have decent chats with fellow smokers about anything important 2 the future of mankind rather than who been fking who in the tabloids.

this world at present works for the one percent of families 2 reap the rewards>>>>>I`d prefer the 99 percent 2 enjoy it tbh

This lot are trying to sneek through the usual persecution laws for all, disguised as a crusade against the bogeymen in society. We become more like America in this country with every day that passes.

As for football. <laugh> Here are some of the best strikers we have in this country to my mind at the moment

    http://news.sky.com/story/1298248/striking-workers-accuse-ministers-of-hypocrisy

Ask any of those in the government what percentage of the vote they, and police commissioners were elected on. F**ing hypocrites the lot of them.

Agree with Dai. Good thread Dude. <ok>

I think david icke(I hear u snigger lol) has done nearly twenty five years research into various important incidents in our recent history and he has some great names 2 drop in the hat as 2 why he came 2 his conclusions

The problem is the freedom and privacy laws is they protect the bad guys too and privacy laws can be abused by lawyers to protect people who shouldn't be protected.

What do you need protecting from? Which rights that you need are being taken away? How do these laws affect your or your loved ones lives?

If it's the overall concept of your freedom/rights you are worried about then I'll just agree to disagree <ok>

    Great names.

    Larry the Lizard?
    Gordon the Gecko?

Guy drops into his bizarre views the usual anti-semitism ( imagery used by the Nazis; Canadian tour where his "security" were from a far right group ).

    He's a whackjob.

People these days love conspiracy theories. No evidence, but hey. Channel 4 once broadcast a documentary on a French author who wrote a book on the real "truth" about 9/11; sold millions around the world, made him a packet. During the interview, he was asked what evidence he did, how he researched it. The reply? "I didn't, I didn't need to. I know everything I said happened, don't need evidence".

As for people whining about "privacy", try telling the family of Rhys Jones that the "privacy" of his killers should have been protected.

Rhys Jones' killers were convicted in part due to the evidence obtaind through phone usage. Something you and others would want stopped due to "privacy" concerns.

2 minutes? Sure, the whole 12 minutes? Eh.... Icke makes a better whackjob than he ever did a goalkeeper or sports presenter. So this video. 2 minutes of waffle to start. Bold claims without actually citing any actual studies or evidence to back that conclusion, conveniently avoiding any semblance of peer review.

Maybe Stan Lee was a visionary, trying to inform the world via the medium of comic; after all Spiderman was the hero, the Lizard an arch villain...

lets be honest dude there was enough eye witnesses there 2 confirm the suspects that where holding knives and covered in blood when the police turned up, and it wasn't as if the suspects wanted 2 flee either, they did it in revenge for what was happening 2 fellow muslims around the world, and they have suffered the fate of hate and anger which has led them 2 kill another human being, they sint alone mind cos sometimes we all feel it(hate anger, revenge) and 9/11 was an example, I was one of you wanting the arab world 2 be brought 2 justice only for later evidence which points fingers in certain directions which brings me 2 the conclusion that this was a false flag the same type false flag attack that brought germans together for the war against jews).......>>>>>>>>>>but yeah I suppose the phone footage helped as well......tiz a pity the footage stolen by manning wasn't used as evidence against American troops when they killed innocent people just cos they felt like, instead manning is now behind bars silenced from speaking out against murder by so called peaceful forces.

as long as hate and division thrives, peace and love will always be at the back of your mind.....simples
