"What form this investment takes, we’ll have to wait and see. Whether it’s a complete takeover or part investment, no-one really knows." "One thing we shouldn’t do is get carried away. As even investment doesn’t automatically mean you will be successful. You have to spend wisely." He sounds more like Peter Lorimer every day. One thing is certain, if we do not get taken over I will not have anything to do with anyone associated with Bates, Elland Road or Yorkshire Radio as they are all clearly yes men, who care more about a few crumbs from Ken's table than the fans who loyally support them and the club....

I don't think Gray knows anything to be honest and why would he at this stage? He is only a employee and as it stands an employee of Bates.

Because LUST found the money men did they not? I assume theres a certain level of engagement there. As for Eddie I dont think he will be anywhere near ER at the moment and will probably reading all the rumours like us! BillyisGod knows who the potential new owners are
Nothing to be worried about, even a full takeover and throw 50M at it doesn't mean promotion if you don't spend wisely. I believe Warnock looking at Peltier, Kenny and the already signed Drury, Green and Pearce shows he will spend it very wisely indeed
I don't think spending too much will be an issue, I just suspect Ken Foolery.... behind all this investment talk! I try not to be pessimistic but I don't know of any parasite that lets a healthy host get away.... We might think that LUST & reduced tickets sales have scared him off, but 10,000 season tickets are worth 6.8million, without TV income, gate receipts, memberships, player sales etc. All equals plenty more to offer someone wanting to bleed us dry. The Eddie Gray spin is exactly what I would have expected if it was all a load of crap.....
Of course I do. Bates wont be telling Eddie what to write anymore. He will be more interested in counting his unmarked bills stuffed into suitcases!
Dont panic pal We will have Bates & co out by the end of the week. Maybe even an announcement tomorrow, but I have got to stop checking. Its taking over my life!
I don't think Gray knows anything. All he's said really is that he doesn't know anything and we shouldn't get too excited or ahead of ourselves until we do.
