    Right, bad day 3.

Ruby was poor today. It happens. Unfortunately for him his off day coincided with Quevega's last race. What can you do eh? They'll all be gutted. She should have won.

Onto day 4. A day I've dubbed, Redemption. A day for Ruby to right the wrong. A day for one animal to put an upstart in it's place.

Hurricane Fly will win the Champion Hurdle. Vautour will win the novices hurdle. Arctic Fire should win the other novice hurdle.

I promised two winners. I am quietly confident of a third.

    Good luck lads.

4-1 trebles Bob, short cut to the looney bin that stuff mate but good luck.

Check out the NTD horse GETTING READY 12-1 Bangor 7;20 as it looks to have been tenderly handled over fences. Back in trip tomorrow and has plummeted to a very low mark. Could be a plot or then again...........

On the drift so best to ignore!

On the point of jocks isn't Davy Russell making Gigginstown look just a wee bit silly for sacking him?! He's still one of the best in business as seen today (and on the bookies benefit prequel- Cheltenham Gold Cup Friday).

Jezki will finally get a proper gallop tomorrow like the Champ hurdle and can finally lower the Flys colours back on home soil.

I have been lucky enough to be on Lac Fontana for his last 3 wins and wont abandon him, up against it but proved he stayed the distance last time out and a decent price.

Price isnt up to much but the fact Utopie des Bordes is prefered by Geraghty over Une Artiste says it all.

    Doubles and a treble again.

Jezki will finally get a proper gallop? In a 3 runner race. It's as likely Steps goes off too fast as it is he sets the fractions right.

Heading down tomorrow to the Festival. It's Fly Day :)

Whilst I'm a fully paid up member of the Hurricane Fly fanclub I'd have definitely liked some rain to fill me with confidence. The ground's drying out (none forecast) and as we know Jezki's a different beast on this ground. I've already invested in the Fly a few days ago in the expectation that the ground would soften, and therefore lessen Jezki's chance, but it hasn't. Jessica's stable form is also slightly bugging me too! Win, lose or draw he owes us nowt. A replication of his Leopardstown runs earlier this year and he wins. If not, I wonder does retirement become a thought?

Vautour obviously wins. Next year's Arkle horse. I'll try and have a word with Willie, point him to the right race as Faugheen wins the Champion Hurdle head in chest ;)

The mares race looks interesting, it's a case of deciphering which Henderson horse to back in it. In the last, a nice hunters chase, I'm pretty surprised Aintree winner Warne isn't favourite.

Russell is a top top jockey one of the strongest in the game and as you say BOS he is making them look a bit silly but he is responding in the right way. I wonder is Barry Connell watching Davy :bandit:

A hopeful recovery mission tomorrow, for me at least ...... Apache Stronghold, who's non-appearance at Chelts was a surprise, as he had been hugely impressive in November. I don't know if his absence was injury or ground related, but if he's fit, on favourably good ground, he could surprise folks with a good run at 20-1 currently. Vatour looked a machine in the Supreme, so Apache would need to be Pegasus to win.

But Pegasus has to return some time, right?

Apache had a foot abscess Reebok and that's why he missed out, very much needed his comeback run and could definitely run a big race here so good luck.

Whenever I post selections on here they seem to get beat, however much like Bob I agree it will be redemption day for Ruby after a poor day at the office yesterday. I believe Quevega would win that race 9/10 if you ran it again, anyway what is done is done.

Today I am on The Fly / Vatour double. Just over 7/4

I think it is obvious to all that Cheltenham just isn't The Fly's track and the fact he has won 2 Champion Hurdles is testament to his greatness, back in Ireland I can only see one winner. Vatour speaks for himself, destroyed the Supreme field and will be a massive shock if he doesn't take this

One for me today. Sizing Gold disappointed in the JLT, but can finish the season on a high in the Novices Handicap Chase at 4.20. I'm pretty sure he's better than his mark of 137, and 7/1 is a fair price in a competitive race.

On another note, only 3 runners in Hurricane Fly's race? That's pretty shameful really, does no one want the place prize money?

NO NO MANOLITO 8:00 Fontwell 12/1
This is a runner for Charlies biggest pair of owners and they paid a big sum for this handsome son of High Chaparal. They think a good deal of him at the yard and certainly have not rushed him. He is a quirky sort but you can tell from his work that he is quality. Not surprised to see Dickie on board as he has his nuances and is a horse with some potential. They will be hugely disappointed if he doesn't run a very big race.

Morning, crew. Hope everyone on board is well. Cor blimey though you types ain’t all still preserving with the old Punchestown Guestival are you?!? Un-beee-lee-vaaaa-bell. The whole fixture, bar one or two examples (such as Beat That) is total guesswork as you’ve no way of knowing who is over the top and who, jolly well, ain’t.

Over the Bridge in the Principality I quite like LA NAPOULE at Cheppers this afternoon (4.30). If she can’t win a handicap off just 62 then my name isn’t Dr Sir Barney Chuckles OBE CBE MFI OMG. The filly showed fair form in 3 maidens on the all-weather over the old winter and this mark looks very lenient indeed when you consider the evidence. The colt Swivel beat La Napoule by 2.25 lengths and he last ran off 87, the colt Android beat her 1 length and has won a handicap off 69 with ease whilst Gone With The Wind beat her 1.25 lengths and is now perched on 76. Meanwhile, La Napoule brushed aside Misty Sparkler by half length and she won her only subsequent heat and is now rated 71. All in all then to this correspondent La Napoule looks well in today on 62. Richard Hughes takes the rides for the Hannon’s and 11/4 looks most appealing.

    Good luck all.

    Hello lads.

Just back from my twelve day Easter trip to the old ancestral home...highlight being attending the match last Sunday in the new San Mamés...crucial 3-1 win v Seville.

    Quick poser.

No.10 in ther first at Punchy carries the colours of which famous Cheltenham winner of the early 1980's?

Right, off for a perusal of todays action..great to see the night racing back.
