Been mentioned in the transfer thread. Seems odd, but he is from that neck of the woods + Holloway had had him before, so could be some truth, or just an obvious one for a rumour.

Seems like there is something in it.....was scouring through Newsnow and spotted it.............Someone has said it is a season loan....why won't these teams buy the player it is just a cheap way out if you ask me. (Always assuming the loan rumour is true)

Apparently, George Mells tweeted that he hoped Puncheon would have a successful loan spell at Palace. That set it all off.

Bet Palace hate us; we nick Butterfield, Fonte and Clyne off them and we give them Aaron Martin on loan! <laugh> Puncheon should do well though.

Be nice for Punch to stay in the PL. He is a good player and can get goals for them.

If it's true, and the text messages from my Palace supporting colleagues would suggest there is really something to it, Punch will be able to give Phillips a few pointers on how to get Saints fans back on side :)

I have huge respect for puncheon for facing his demons and winning back the fans. In return, we've supported him. Will be very sorry to see him go but he deserves more than the odd cameo appearance he will get here. A quality player. Prefer a loan so that he can't play against us!!

Good luck to him if this is true. I know that some people will be disappointed but I think this is a win win situation for all parties. Puncheon will get good game time, Palace get a very good player and we can recall him if we get injuries. Plus it may give Mayuka a chance to impress.

I for one will be disappointed. When he and Clyne played together I thought they were brilliant at times. None of the current management team has really seen them together.

    So will I. I'm hoping it's all a fabrication.

Went to check on his Twitter account and there's no mention of it, so who knows..?

No doubt he would of been demanded to delete it. It seems something he would do, having heard some stuff about him.

Yeah it's happened before. He's the sort of person that would put something confidential on there to draw attention to himself

Hmm, well I suppose they do have to learn how to behave better than the average teenager. The temptations to step out of line for 5 minutes, via modern communication, must pull on them occasionally. They can't all be James Ward-Prowse. I'm not excusing him, btw.

Be gutted and pretty annoyed to see Puncheon leave ... Poch doesn't seem to fancy him for whatever reason.

I would hate to see Puncheon leave! He was great last season, he caused numerous sides a lot of bother and changed the game at times. Remember his goal against Chelsea? Remember his performance away to QPR? He's definitely good enough for the Premiership and I feel a lot more confident with him in the side, be it on the bench. Really hope nothing comes of this but the snowball is rolling...
