Its Friday night, I'm staying in, Osca, well he is in his usual state of sleep, snoring and farting. Why not pull up a chair, pour yourself a drink and join me for a gossip, a laugh and a good time before we face another weekend of potential gloom. Some great news, Sunderland won the first dec in the election, thank god we get something right. I'm off for a week away tomorrow, no laptop in a cottage on a farm on the Northumberland coast, near Seahouses. Not a holiday just a get away week, some chill out time and some long walks with my boy, looking forward to it. What you up to?
I'm driving to Bolton for the match with a friend, my two boys and one of their mates to see the lads trounce Bolton with Sunderland's young guns being an absolute revelation.....I think I must have been drinking already eh?
Actually, I've got to run our lass down the town shortly as it's her night out with the girls... I might have the odd glass of wine later, but not too many seeing as I'm driving in the morning.
First one down the range lads to be quickly followed by number 2. Tonight I will mostly be drinking Black Sheeps Rigwelter a fine tipple of choice for the discerning gent so gods knows how I got hold of it. No match for me tomorrow and the witch is at work so unsupervised for a whole day then out in Shields for a few bevys on Saturday afternoon. The optimism has come flooding back lads and is gaining momentum with every mouthful.
I don't drink, so it's a nice cup of coffee for me, slurp! Have a good time up the coast syd and please don't come back stinking of fish!
Dorset,I do drink and I'm enjoying some bottles of "Bud"!!!The weather here is crap....thunder and lightening, and my good lady is out in it...the phone, and Sky are both off!Must be due some good news.....three points on saturday??
3 points on Saturday? you have more chance of being struck by that lightening you're experiencing up there mate
Off on a marathon crawl to drink mild ale in 10 excellent real ale pubs in Bristol. Should be a good turn out - around 30 turned out last year. The crawl is being led by Pete the Pirate (if you thought we have had a bad season spare a thought for Rovers fans). Hopefully I won't sober up until Friday so I will have missed the Bolton result and can look forward to the next game If anyone in the Bristol area wants to join us we are starting at the Portcullis in Clifton at high noon and probably ending in disaster. We are easy to spot - long beards, large beer guts and wearing chunky cardigans.
