I take it all back Harry!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22614097 seriously though, a few might look at his record and trade potential style for stable, dull yet relatively successful football
Would genuinely take my chances with any manager attempting to play football than be guaranteed 17th forever playing Pulisball.
Would he have kept us up this season with our current squad? I would have accepted it, and I'm certain TF would have too.
I'm surprised that you lot can say that. They're certainly not an attractive team but you can't fault the man for his honesty and instilling a fighting spirit in all his players and guess what? They play as a team. For each other and to their strengths. I'm sorry but I'm not going to even begin to proclaim I'd rather watch anyday a shambolic team of ****wits who don't give a toss and only bring disgrace on themselves and the shirt.
There is no way I could watch my team play like Stoke. I'd rather play in the Championship and retain a certain degree of integrity than watch their brand of football every week in the Premiership. No thanks.
Not saying I prefer our current team to theirs but what's the point of a win at all costs mentality in the long run? Their fans are sick of it despite respectable league positions and they've spent serious money without any real improvement to the team. Like us, though for different reasons, they've stopped enjoying watching their team and that's the most important thing whether successful or not.
I've been informed that Alan Pardew is the second longest serving Prem manager after 2 seasons (some 14 years behind Wenger). Can't be true can it? I can't bemoan Pulis - we've all said we'd happily swap our misfiring talent for a team that gives their all. What TP has given them is the platform to build something better and although some would say that he's not the man to change that, I'd refer them to Manure's latest gaffer - anyone remember Carsley, Graveson, Stubbs, Weir and Big Dunc in the same Everton team? Look at how things can evolve. Harsh and not fair on the man in the cap IMO.
Sincerely hope that Hughes doesn't get the gig. We need him somewhere in the Championship so we can pass on our kindest regards to him, face to face at Loftus Road. Wouldn't that be nice to see ..................... anyway, bad luck to Pulis, don't think I'd want to see him with us, though.
Latest betting has Hughes ( dam it! ) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct...UNej60of-DrtAZ1Dw&sig2=E1Y4Hw4oN_L8BykAlQAd-g please log in to view this image
Gota say, I think pullis is getting some unfair stick here. he took a pretty sh*te club/team & established them in the premiership for a few years. No-one likes going there or playing them. Now, whilst I think its prob best he leaves for them to develop, no-one can fault what he has done. I know the style, entertainment is a bit ****e..but they will again get to entertain the likes of Man Utd, chelscum, Man city etc as apposed to hull, Blackpool ? and Yeovil... id loe us to just get promoted and them consolidate. once we do them we can start buying ex-real Madrid players and looking to move up !! Baby steps is my advice !! Pullis, no matter what you think of him has achieved more than Colin, Hughes & Harry combined. Would be ood for a team looking to get up...not that I want him mind !!
They set out to try and make every game a 0-0 and nick a set piece. Awful football but then we did that as well all season but we are **** at set pieces too.
