The Welshman is currently the fourth-longest serving Premier League manager, but has come under scrutiny by fans who want to see the club progress further, having consolidated their Premier League status. PREMIER LEAGUE LATEST 22/1 Stoke are 22/1 with Bet365 to beat West Brom 3-0 And Pulis, who received backing from his chairman Peter Coates earlier this week, admits he understands fansâ expectations have grown, but is adamant he will not be leaving the Britannia Stadium. âIf youâre given steak and chips every day, steak and chips becomes the norm,â he told reporters. âFansâ expectations are growing all the time. Itâs not just this club, thatâs the way the worldâs going. âBut itâs part of our life and our world â youâre either flavour of the month or youâre not. âThere always comes a time when itâs right for everyone to go but I donât think itâs that at the moment. You canât get rid of me that easily yet! âEvery manager wonât receive full recognition until he leaves. âThey look at Sir Alf Ramsey now as probably the best England manager ever. But at the time he was doing the job, even he was getting dogâs abuse.â
BIG DIFFERENCE Tony Pulis.. Sir Alf Ramsey God bless him. KNEW how to get the right player's playing AND WINNING. YOU do not! Do I appreciate what T.P. has done yes I do. Have I enjoyed the last 2 plus seasons. NO I have not. You say your'e not leaving yet? Sod it Mr Pulis I've seen enough, complained more than most, and i have SANG, GOT BEHIND THE TEAM and SUPPORTED THE club THAT IS STOKE CITY F.C. JOG OFF!
Lego Bricks Jowler? Like I said, I will support the team for the remaining games we all will mate... Pulis NEVER!
To call the fans fickle just shows once more his contempt to the Stoke faithful. Love my side but not their manager. Can't wait to see the team he is putting out tomorrow!!
Looks about right Moelfre. I think Pulis has got the wrong end of the stick here. I can't speak for everyone else, but I know personally, I'm not expecting a great finish, to end up 9th or 10th would be nice, but anywhere outside of the "relegation scrap" will do nicely. What I want to see is some nicer football along the way. I'm not sure I'd like to be as low down as Wigan, fearing relegation every season, but I bet week by week they have a lot more fun watching their games than we do! Maybe it's too much to ask for a "happy medium" of safety and entertainment. But it wouldn't hurt to at least give it a ****in' go.
