Off Topic Pubs that show football on dodgy channels.

Half the time you don't know if they'll get the game on or not.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not so folk go to somewhere they know is reliable.

It's getting like that around here. Half the time the site is down.

Trouble is nowadays most of the footie is 'streamed via the net - it's more stable though more expensive to 'pirate' the live football through direct Satellite TV broadcasting

The site owner is trying to sort some issues about tagging but it's opened up a whole can of worms.

Probably regretting it massively now.

We just need to give him some time to resolve it.

Definitely. There's about 30 lads who post regularly, I reckon. Like everything else in life, if somebody leaves this forum there's always going to be somebody to take their place.

The board would be a lot more 'PG' without that gaggle of dickheads.

 

That would still leave Tees, VJ, RAW, Gordon Armstrong, Giacc, Quentin, Blunham, Pops, Myself, Diddles, Welder, Farnboro, Montysoptician, horden, vince, tigerroo, joeisonfire, home and away, gonads, crumble, drum, sid, aussie, disco, Marcus, flanders, Nordic, girl kipper, Gil T Azell, Nostalgic, The Relic and loads loads more. This board will always survive, mate.

There's plenty of people on the forum who keep it going, for sure. It's a decent bunch of lads on here and 83's right, nobody is irreplaceable. Removing the 10 most prolific posters as Comm puts it, would remove a lot of the thread starters though, so I'm not sure the variety of topics would be as extensive as it is, unless some people come out of the woodwork.

 

Find us a new home for a few weeks.

Seriously, probably around October, 2025... that'll be a good enough stint for me, pencil it in.

 

It would, without doubt mate. My thoughts on that though would be that people again would step up and start threads. I don't start many threads on here but I know that I would be one of the thread starters on a daily basis, if I needed to be. I'm just not needed at the moment because you lads do a perfectly good job at engaging debate
