I couldn’t careless what passengers do on my bus .eat drink be merry talk in any language as long as they leave me alone I’m happy
I shall be making a rare excursion by coach this Saturday. Bristol is only £5 one way, the coach normally arrives on time but not as reliable as a train. Coming back I'll be on the 19.30 from Temple Meads as I cannot handle the coach both ways. Comfort, beer and bladder says I must let the train take the strain.
I once went to Newcastle away on the coach - never again! We won 4-3 up there on the night ...got back to the Valley at 4am Too slow & uncomfortable
Continuing on from poor old Mr van Gerwen's journey to work this morning, I picked up a timetable just to make sure that I have recalled what I had read the previous week. Get this for trains from Bromley to Victoria. 5.59 6.02 6.04 with the 5.59 listed as taking 21 minutes, but took 16! This is just an example but there are masses of trains running within 5 minutes of each other then you have to wait 15 minutes, a total mess.
Sorry @Miketyson2007 but it's a car for me. Means that you're on a timetable. It's nice just to have a proper air-conditioned machine and the open road. Go where you want and not need to worry about the journey back. Plus, I've driven all over the world. Nothing like renting out a Ford Mustang convertible and driving that son of a b×××× at 135mph through the Mojave desert with the top down. Stopping off at the Bakersville to see the world's largest thermometer; picking up a proper tasty bird in a bar, then taking her with you and having a decent three night/day experience which I wouldn't trade in for the world... S××× like that wouldn't have happened if: (1) could not drive (2) decided to take the 321 to New Cross
So it's you who does all those car adverts we see at the cinema? you never see them sitting in a traffic jam on the M25 for hours on end.
I have worked on General Motors, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, Alfa Romeo - and to top it off work in the advertising and media industry @ForestHillBilly I hate the M25. Most frustrating road ever
Weren't we 3-0 down at one point? Anthony Barness scored a blinder just before half-time, and an own goal won it for us late on.
I flew up there in around '95 on a club organised trip. A great way to do Newcastle as I was back home in exclusive Shortlands for 1am. We won 3-1 in to the bargain.
Live near Cambridge, drove once to Charlton, sat nav took me on a ferry. Train couldn't be easier for me so always use that method
Apart from the score, all I can remember from that game is the Newcastle fans screaming for the (bald) head of Jim Smith. Also recall the supporters coach dropping us of near Harvey Gardens at 4am...thankfully my car was still intact.
