http://www.prweek.com/uk/news/1163225/southampton-football-club-hires-julius-duncan-head-comms/ May be good news, the PR needs a kick up the backside.
Doesn't mention communicating with fans though. Sounds like a spin doctor. Not a bad idea though as Cortese keeps getting bad press, mainly because he never answers back leaving the media and MLT to say what they like. I think Nicola has good ideas and reasons behind them but needs someone to explain it in a public friendly way.
We should embrace Nicola's way of doing things. A man of little words (to us) but many actions (for us). Think back a few chairman ago, I remember this one guy with glowing red cheeks, he'd talk the back leg of a cow (or any media outlet).....but rarely get things done (okay, SMS, I'll give him that). Hey, you know what we haven't had for a while, a Rupert hate/appreciation thread. Things must be good!
Well, back in the day the PR at Farnborough was pretty shoddy. The club even went under a transfer embargo without initially telling the fans. That seems to have improved substantially though. Though I think no news is better than propaganda *cough*Chainrai*cough* (for all his faults, he has a very good PR team)
