So, according to popular myth, since debunked, how did the kangaroo get its name?

A local was asked what the animal was and the reply was not understood by the person who asked the question who thought he heard the answer "I do not understand you" in the language of the local.

The myth has it that it was Captain Cook, who was marooned for seven weeks, but yes, it was a misunderstanding of the question! such a shame that it's not a true story!

When a film was made a few years ago about the mental instability of King George III it was simply titled "The Madness of King George," with no reference to which particular king George was referenced!

Why?

It was thought that with the III at the end, it would create the impression in America that it was the 3rd film in a series and would wonder why they'd missed the first two!

Could have to do with American audiences thinking that it was a sequel to the existing Madness of George, thus King George was less confusing for their tiny brains than George III. Why we let the Yanks influence everything we do I don't know !
