I appear to be alone here. Sheff UTD lost 5 players, New york consists of 5 Boroughs and the Seine has 5 locks.
No - wrong track. Think one side of the Seine as it flows through Paris....
Er... The Left Bank in Paris, lots of people left the bank at Bramall Lane - struggling with New york though !
On the banks of the Seine in Paris is the Eiffel Tower built out of steel. New York's skyscrapers were built out of steel and Sheffield was one of the top steel towns in England.
Is it something to do with the colour red? The Sharks in West Side Story wear red, Sheffield Utd wear red and white, and the intellectuals of the left bank of the Seine were socialists or "reds".
No - for the New York musical clue, think 60's pop band (one hit wonders, but what a hit)...
'Walk away Renee' - and Desiree was hardly a hit, reaching the giddy heights of #98 in the charts...
So, that's Left Bank and Left Banke - but what's the connection to the Battle of Bramall Lane?
Final clue - could be blamed for us missing promotion last season...
