Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has told Paris Saint Germain to drop their interest in his left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto. Redknapp says Spurs have no intention of selling the Cameroon international. He is currently the first-choice left-back White Hart Lane. Big-spending PSG have been linked with a move for the defender, but Redknapp insists their overtures will be futile. The defender is on a long-term deal with Spurs, and both player and club are happy for him to stay where he is. Redknapp said: "He is a fantastic left back, absolutely top, top class. He is a player for sure we don't want to sell. "He's a character and a one-off. He has said many times he's not that interested in football. He comes and plays and trains, but he has got great ability. "We will not be selling Benoit. He is top, top drawer. There are three or four great left backs in the Premier League and he is one of them. "He signed a new contract last year, he's here to stay and we are not selling Benoit."
We need to keep hold of BAE, I know some fans still don't rate him but I think he's a great left back.
This is a very NotNews story. There is more interest in Harry's rebuttal than the story itself, or is that the story? I'll make a NotComment. Knot or Not it's Not News NotNews, thank Not606. NOT!
PSG are pretty successful, numerous French league titles and cups, as well as the European cup winners cup a while ago.
