Think the only reason they are investigating now is because Barcelona complained. Surely these investigations should be done at the end of the season so that sanctions are applied in the new season or when the accounts are published. Any accounts for PSG will not include the Neymar transfer. They might as well just scrap FFP if PSG (and City for that matter) can actually prove they are sticking to the terms. All it does is affect the 2nd tier clubs who cant claim to have some ridiculous sponsorship deal through the owners or allow owners like Short and Ashley to justify not ploughing in the money required. Either have a proper system to level the playing field and improve competition in each of the leagues or don't bother.
Investigating? Surely there is a requirement of all clubs to provide evidence of FFP conformance every season. Why would they need to investigate a particular club? They either meet the criteria or they don't.

As for Barcelona - It's a bit rich coming from them. The number of times they have used underhand tactics to get players over the years. They are just upset because they are no longer the top drawer outfit they once were due to the above. I saw a banner at a European game about how the rich have stolen the game. So ****ing true. It is now a dumbed down, sanitized version of the game I grew up with targeting middle class liberals and their horrible children. Dare i say it but has become Americanized. Shameful.
