PLEASE give me an argument FOR buying a season ticket next season?

I've cancelled mine because I've seriously had enough. I can take a technically **** Newcastle team, but I can't take one with next to no heart, no ambition, no investment except when relegation is threatening, and to be honest.....

WE HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO WITH 500 QUID!!!!

Invest your 500 quid in something better, because I seriously think buying another season ticket would be like paying for 500 credits on a slot machine. It's a complete waste.

You blokes with families, spend the cash on improving your homes, spend it on your family, spend it on a new ****ing TV, I don't care, just don't give Sports Direct Inc another pound of your hard earned cash.

You can't even use the argument "I'll stick by the lads through thick and thin". Who are "the lads"? There's no connection between players and fans, and anyone worth a **** will be sold. This is not the same Newcastle you starting supporting, that Newcastle is on hiatus until we get a new owner, director of football and manager. Until then you don't have to feel bad for not turning up to support the club you love, because the club you love isn't currently in operation, it's frozen somewhere in another ****ing dimension.

The only way it'll come back is if Mike Ashley doesn't want to be our owner anymore, and the only reason he'd leave is if he can't make any more money from us, and the best way to do that is to stop paying for tickets, merchandise and anything else related to Newcastle United. Dig up your retro shirts and wear them to remind you what you'll be fighting for by not showing up for games. By turning up you're simply solidifying our position in pig ****.

I can't be arsed with pussy tactics anymore. I can't be arsed with players who don't give a ****. I can't be arsed with ****ing far post to Williamson. I can't be arsed to travel to St James to see **** that is just set up to keep us financially secure in mid table, and if we win nothing and we don't play well, it's ok, as long as we're not relegated and not in debt then who cares....

Some people are trapped into long deals, some are so used to going they're basically Morgan Freeman in Shawshank, and some have nowt else to do in there lives.

    3 reasons <ok>

I won't be buying another til the attitude towards football changes.

Don't give it up! Eternal optimism, the future is bright, the future is black n white!
You are so lucky to be in a position to go and see us at home - I live a 6 hour drive away and would love to go!
We have been in far worse a position with bigger knobs in charge - we will improve and the knobs will disappear at some stage!
    Never give up on us!

Because for many the alternative is to stay at home and talk to their wives.

We have been worse. Pre Keegan. Nearly in the old Third Division. We were really bad then. We are bad now but at least we are Premier League bad.

Plus it's my team not his. He is just a custodian. He will never be the Owner. He's just the Fat Controller. I always preferred Thomas.

    Dear Dr Tash
I really enjoy your NUFC supporters problem page and find the advise you give always helps. However I took your advise and put the 500quid I had been saving for my 2015/16 ST in a slot machine and unfortunately won another 1500 quid. Now my wife wants me to buy season tickets for her and the kids so that we can all spend Saturday afternoons together watching the boys.
I actually only go to the games to get away from the family so what do i do now?

    Dear Dr Tash

I too am thinking of buying a conservatory but unfortunately have already spent my money on two season tickets (kids you just can't get rid of them, huh). Would you recommend my approaching Mr Ashley for a refund claiming I am suffering a life threatening illness which will prevent me from attending matches or simply being upfront and honest with him and telling him my pension fund has greater need than his?

My argument would be insanity. Only started supporting the Toon since Shearer arrived and the past 6/7 years have been the worst since then but if I had the cash and ability to get to the stadium every other Saturday I know I would be there even if MA decided it would be easier to get a CL place by moving the club to Liechtenstein...and hey we might even win a league title out there ha-ha H.T.L.

Its a great notion that you can enter an insanity plea to try and get a pre-paid season ticket refund but I am sure that this would be discluded in the small print. After all they must know we are mad to support a team that hasn't won anything for over 40 years. Ashley might move the club to Lichtenstein but knowing him it would only be for tax purposes and he would ensure we didn't finish in the top 1 of the Lichtenstein Premier league anyway.
