I'm not sure. Plays too deep for me. Great goal, but he won't get that time and room in League matches. Hope I'm wrong though.
I do agree on him playing deep, but he has good technique, and he is starting to come to the party. Sometimes it takes time to settle, the only thing i would say is after a couple of goals now is the time to get him in the team and play him.
Think we all need to wake up and smell the coffee he's not very good is he, i want him to come good as much as the rest of you but it isn't going to happen, good players don't take six months to settle/find their feet a few weeks maybe, and before you all dive in and mention his wonder goal against orient his first touch was shocking great volley granted, why do you think Bruce is desperately trying to bring in a new forward?, hope I'm proved wrong but doubt it
Sorry but that's bollocks of the coconut sized variety. Henry (9 games) cantona (can't remember how many games but wasn't until December) and bergkamp (7 games) took an age to get off the mark. I'm not saying he's anywhere near their standard but if you're going to raise the argument that he's rubbish because he's taking time to settle then I'll knock it straight back down. His goals per minute ratio is the best at the club. He's had 3 starts, scored 2 goals. He's hardly played in the time he's has been here so the 'no one takes 6 months' to settle spiel is just plain stupid. If he was playing for those 6 months then fair enough but he hasn't been The reason we're looking for another striker is because we've only got 2, Prozzy and Homer. Koren is patently never a striker and aluko is a winger/in the hole player. We need a fox in the box and we haven't got one, hence why they're after dj As SB said tonight, there is a massive difference in style between the 2nd div in Germany and the Championship. Prozzy is getting to grips with the physicality and I've little doubt that provided he gets games and we give him decent service, he'll play a massive in determining our destiny this year
I think he'll play his part, though maybe not quite in the way Brucie thought he would when he signed him.
When a manager like Steve Bruce says this lad is worth waiting for, I'm sorry but I do tend to believe him. The English game is far more aggressive and faster paced compared to anything this lad has been involved in before. He is getting better and I do t just mean against Orient.
Hope your right diddy I really do I want him to be a success as much as you, I just don't see any signs it's going to happen, touch not great, pace non existent, heading poor never seen him dominate an apposing centre back, gets knocked off the ball, guessing you didn't see this with Henry cantona etc while settling in
Cantona was bloody awful when he first started at united, couldn't do **** until mid November. I reiterate he isn't king Eric, but if he's 1/10th of Eric we'll be fine!
Touch not great? His touch looks good to me, in fact, our equaliser against Sheff Wed involved him having a great touch, holding off the defender, and laying it out wide...
"Touch not good etc". That has to be the most incompetent assessment of a players fundamental abilities I have ever seen....dead wrong on EVERY point...Are you having us on.? I cant believe you actually believe any of that crap!!!!
Ok Canada tiger I bow to your better knowledge of the game, lets hope steve Bruce sees the light too and starts playing him
I hope Steve Bruce can see light else he'd be blind. Could be a reason we enquired about DJ and not fraizer, just felt Campbell on the brail and sent an email?
