Am coming for our game with you guys with my dad who is a cantankerous old sod at the best of times, unfortunately I'm turning into him myself.... Is there anywhere fairly traditional that does real ale not in plastic pots near Villa Park?, or is it a case of stopping off before we get too close or going into the city centre? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I know Birmingham reasonably well having lived off the Birchfield road for a year but that was over ten years ago now... Not surprisngly we're coming from the east. Cheers.
Wetherspoons at Perry Barr One Stop (Arthur Robinson). Not sure where you could park though. Also Trap 7 (Walsall Road / Regina Drive), Banks's, but can't guarantee it will be open - also gaffer is a 'Scouse Git' (!). Good beer though. As for the football, enjoy the match, but hopefully not the result !
