Now then fellas i too have been to tonites game as well .................. Im going to try and sum up where we are at ! This is stoke city whom we love and support and spend money ! not a top 6 team but stoke city ! I too am not the happiest over what is being delivered in terms of football ... BUT can we somehow take a reality check ... think before u reply . So if we are not a top 6 side that leaves 4 places for the top half finish we strive for ? correct ? I THINK WE WILL FINISH TOP HALF ! We are going throo a **** time in terms of football confidence and results ! but we are not alone in this ? Arsenal , Liverpool etc there fans are up in arms over recent events .. lets go back to yesterday .......... Tottenham out to Leeds Liverpool out to Oldham in the cup !! **** happens and unfortunately its happenin to us now ... yes i hear ya square pegs round holes ... im dissappointed too about that but seriously most prem teams play the same system but they have just been at it longer ! Potter Palm All very valid points you have made, can't argue too much with what you said matie. So, Leeds beat Spurs but that would not happen let's say 90 per cent of the time IF they played on a regular basis, I mean as two Prem clubs or would it? It's a one off cup game and Leeds won it, well done to them. ANY coach worth is salt would do one of two things. 1. Either tell his player's to keep it tight, don't let them do anything too easily, close down. Even replace a forward for another defender re Wilko. or 2. Continue to attack, do what you are or we're doing before then, just keep the ball in their half. WHY? because if we had Wigan could/would not have scored TWO goals with the ball in OUR half which, it hardly was tonight 2nd half. so What does Pulis do. He takes off N'Zonzi probably the ONLY player we have right now who does NOT **** a brick every time he has the ball, he puts his foot on it, looks, see's a simple pass and usually plays it to another Stoke player. Not only that but He also takes off Charlie Adam who single handedly ran his heart out took a shot which could not be held, only for Crouch to score. PULIS bring his off? NO Manager with half a brain would have done that. I sincerely hope Potte Palm that you think I have tired to be pretty accurate as to why.. I want PULIS GONE after seeing what he did tonight. He took off/SUBBED what was OUR midfield, and is so doing, gave Wigan a pt. If anyone thinks I'm wrong fine by me, that's how I saw it end of. Once gone we had NO MIDFIELD simple as, simple is and all others looked liked they could not give a **** after that. Can you blame them Potter P? It's a results game! 1. When we are getting results I am the first to say that ist diffiuclt to moan and all the pro TP fans just say look at the results. 2. When we dont get results all the pro TP fans say "look where we have come from" "were not a top half team we are little old Stoke" etc.... Why? In relation to Liverpool, Spurs etc... we got knocked out by Swindon at HOME and conceeded 4 goals....... and I dont care what anyone says we didnt deserve to beat Cristal Palace - they should ahve gone through in normal time!

Really you have to say that the the following teams are going to struggle to get....X amount of points from the potential 42/45 available; 11th - S'derland (29 Current) 16 Potential = Total 45 Points 12th - N'castle (24 Current) 21 Potential = Total 45 Points 13th - W Ham (27 Current 17 Potential = Total 44 Points 14th - Norwich (26 Current) 15 Potential = Total 41 Points 15th - Fulham (25 Current) 15 Potential = Total 40 Points 16th - S'hampton (23 Current) 15 Potential = Total 38 Points 17th - Wigan (20 Current) 18 Potential = Total 38 Points 18th - QPR (16 current) 21 Potential = Total 37 Points 19th - Reading (19 current) 15 Potential = Total 34 Points 20th - Villa (20 current) 14 Potential = Total 34 Points Reallistically because of the strong start we had we will easily total 38 points! Even TP cant fook that up?
Think we will stay up, think "that man" will do enough to save his job but think other players will want out and we will be served up the same ****e next season and the season after ad nauseum.
lookin at the replies fellas .. I agree all round with all of them in a fashion .. I too think last nite was poor and i never moved outa me seat when we scored but Wigan aint crap and will not go down and play decent footy if u let them .... we let them ! potts i know what u r sayin about the subs .. i was a little baffled but im not sure nzonzi was havin too good a game of it and hes not immune to takin off every now and then .. but i suppose that mite bring in the Walters factor whom i cant stand to see the headless chicken week in week out with one foot ... Charlie didnt av a bad game but was blowin outa his arse as normal .. All in all we were poor last nite but it happens huth looks strangely out sorts these days its a game we got a point from ... not lost and sit comfortable in mid table and with a fresh few faces in tom we will go again and push on As for anybody thinking we will go down thats just plain bollox Silly reaction to a draw at home ... theres NO EASY games in the prem full stop all teams have an individual that can hurt u in seconds i reckon tom will bring about a surprise maybe and another change for the better .. there is no standing still in this league as from August till feb has proved .. P.P. , you are looking to make sense of it all ? Do you think your post has done that ? You have attempted the impossible. You cannot make sense out of someone ( Pulis ) where there is no sense. As for new faces , they will not figure in the first team until they are STOKEFIT , several weeks away. Maybe I am not being rational. But I am trying to steel myself against my two worst nightmares. The second worst is relegation. The worst of all is Pulis remains in charge until after my death. Talk about depressed.

Potter Well it's now deadline day over. So no fullbacks come in? A great signing in Jack Butland he's back to Brum on loan fair enough. And Brek O'shea has signed, not too bad is it? Big problem is that like Tuncay before him, I fear that Bret being born in the U.S. of A. will no doubt want to show us "what he can do" will Pulis let him who knows? Is he STOKE fit? I doubt it since he's not PLAYED since AUGUST. So we're basically back to where we we're after the Wigan game, minus Delap and Upson. Does that change things that I don't like about Tony Pulis? Sorry mate no it does not. We buy good player's you know the rest Potter and IF we finish Top half I will be amazed. Given that this season, so many teams have been (so poor overall) we fookin well should be out on 40pts minus I'll give you 3 of thos back. So to finish. HAD Mr Pulis got his ass in gear, Reading 2pts thrown away, Wigan even worse performance wise = FOUR Pts. There were more Southampton? that's six pts we (could) be by now better off. Hence SAFE 36 pts with plenty of games left. Lose 2 or 3 more and teams will have not only caught us, but be above us. Can I be more postive? Sorry but no right now I can't. YET again, we don't buy player's we need i.e. a full back. Wonder why this is cos I don't have a clue mate. IF Mr Pulis thinks we're good enough playing Whitehead there we're fooked and coming up is the Arsenal game? Less than FOUR conceded I will be getting drunk Sat night.
