Agent fees, I knew the red tops were spouting **** when they said we spunked 6m all on Hazard's agent fees and wages

Now £6m is still a lot, but we've signed a fair few players in one year. I think agents need to be shafted out of the game PRONTO.

Agree with the idea of ridding the game of Agents. Why would someone like Rooney, Mata or Bale need an Agent ?? They already have management teams to conduct their business.
First step is for FIFA to make it illegal for Clubs to pay Agent fees, and make the fee payable from the Player himself. That's how it works with Actors Agents and the whole of the Film Industry.
The next thing is a push to wean Players off using Agents, and instead for FIFA to license negotiators to handle Contracts at agreed, up front fees indicative of the work they do to earn the fee.
Pigs may well fly before it happens, but no room for bloodsuckers in our overpriced game.

Good agents are valuable and necessary, particularly for players lower down the pyramid. Footballers as a general rule aren't the brightest and need to be advised when it comes to things like contract negotiation, finding a club as a free agent etc. The likes of Zahavi and Joorabchian give them a bad name but across football at all levels they do more good than harm.

They can use their union for all the things you mention....and they're free.
