As a club, I prefer them to Wrexham.

Their owners have gone about things the correct way, they respect the club’s history (they interviewed Curbs on the pitch at half time last week), and they comfortably attract 25,000 in the Third Tier without having to resort to the “Methven Massage” of the attendance figures.
Forgetting the obvious jibes, Wrexham have always been two bob, somewhere between Newport and Merthyr in the status stakes.

Birmingham have not been successful but have a history that Ivor's mob do not have.

Huddersfield losing so far, and Orient 0-0 but only have ten men.
Looking good for two home wins.

Looking at the table, a couple of sides look a sure bet for the play offs bar collapse, and little Orient have lost 6 in a row <laugh>

I think it’s between us, Bolton & Huddersfield Town for sixth place.

Having turned my egg sunny side up, I am now hoping for an automatic place.

Granted we have to overcome Wrexham and Wycombe to achieve that.
We still have to play both of them at the end of the season.
What cracking games those would be if we were threatening to spoil their parties...

We are all pleased with the recent upturn in results but equally it’s important to be realistic. We are a poor side, in a poor league. I’d hate to see this team running out at Ipswich or Leicester in August, we all know what would happen. Promotion will feel like the ultimate pyrrhic victory if Methven is still behind the counter next season.

The reality check is we’re pulling the likes of Chuks off the bench - we simply don’t have a strong enough squad - Gilbert was definitely a good edition but for whatever reason he’s a nonstarter

Agreed.

Methven pared the squad to the bone in January. Nobody objected to jettisoning the rubbish, but more should have been done to add to the squad. Other than Gilbert, Nathan Jones has very few cards to play from off the bench. That’s going to end up being the difference between finishing 6th - 8th, or finishing above Wrexham in 2nd place.

Some will still point to “climbing 10 places in the league” as a sign of progress though, when it’s anything but #Hawtrey

Ridiculous will bang on with the 'progress'.

The season will be another failure if we do not go up.

The s*** offloaded was the s*** this mob brought in.

I think we have made progress. Probably not enough to get promoted although you never know, but this is the first season for years that we are in the hunt. If we fail we fail, but there is that possibility. With Scott gone there is the likelihood that recruitment will improve, although it's also likely that we will lose our best players like TC, Jones Small and Ramsay if we don't go up, so recruitment will be vital in the summer. Think of our last 3 head coaches, it's been dismal, and Jones has got a proper team spirit. Btw I don't read ITTV or the threads about individual posters on that frorum.

Dean Holden did ok.

Looking good for us as results are constantly going in our favour. What’s not to like or likey!
