Sky Bet have put Argyle well down the list for winning Div2....at odds of 33-1........and a outside chance of promotion at 13-2. Portsmouth are top of both lists at 4-1 to win the league and 4-5 on to be promoted. Of course these odds will change over the summer as players are signed up.
Whats the odds on relegation? Pompey have been busy in the transfer market already so that may reflect in the odds, 33-1 is pretty good tbh might be worth a quid or 2.

"Big" clubs don't always rise back following a drop. Wolves is the prime example. I used to like a flutter but haven't had one in a very long time now and that includes horses. The only rich people out there from gambling are the bookies and when the penny dropped with that one was the day I gave up. If my predictions are anything to go by then a bet would be just giving them a crisp banknote anyway.
Well as for the gambling, horses or football i tend to take part! not very successful at it, a few good wins this year but in all as you say the bookies are the favourites.
